Beweglicher und schneller, als das in den traditionellen Medien möglich gewesen wäre, entwickelte sich auf den Seiten der Internetplattformen perlentaucher.de und signandsight.com eine kontroverse Debatte, die den aktuellen Stand der Diskussion um Multikulturalismus in Europa markiert – und darüber hinausweist.

Thierry Hoza Ngoga is a land development professional with special focus on land administration, land tenure and land use planning. He worked on Rwanda's land tenure regularisation reform programme for over 12 years in various capacities, most recently as Head of Land Technical Operations overseeing land use planning, land surveying and the land administration information system. He is currently working on land development issues focusing on building institutional and policy development in several African countries.

Foucaults Ausgangspunkt ist immer das Heute gewesen, insbesondere in Hinsicht auf seine historischen Arbeiten, und dieses Heute war immer bestimmt durch ästhetische Erfahrungen. Eben darin trifft er sich mit Adorno. Nach dessen Tod 1969 hat sich dieses Band zwischen ästhetischer Erfahrung und theoretischer Arbeit im deutschen Sprachraum mehr und mehr aufgelöst. Mit Foucault und in der Perspektive seiner Arbeiten zur Kunst läßt es sich neu und anders verknüpfen. Der Band, der die verschiedenen Bereiche der Auseinandersetzung Foucaults mit den Künsten erkundet, enthält Originalbeiträge u. a. von Daniel Defert, Thierry de Duve, Toni Negri, Friedrich Kittler und Ulrich Raulff.

Viele Menschen leben jedoch in Gebieten schwacher Staatlichkeit oder in Staaten, die sie bedrohen. Andere wandern zwischen Staaten oder arbeiten für transnationale Unternehmen. Anja Weiß plädiert in ihrem Buch für einen soziologischen Blick auf globale Ungleichheiten, der diese Kontexte jenseits des Staates endlich ernst nimmt. Dazu unterscheidet sie Räume, die territorial gebunden sind, von sozial differenzierten Feldern und politisch umkämpften Zugehörigkeiten. Lebenschancen, so eine ihrer Thesen, entstehen zwischen Personen und Kontexten – entsprechend heftig wird um den Zugang zu Letzteren gekämpft.

Chapters are organized around the following themes: Genetic structure of pest and natural enemy populations Molecular diagnostic tools in biological control Tracing the origin of pests and natural enemies Predicting evolutionary change in pests and natural enemies Compatibility of transgenic crops and natural enemies Genetic manipulation of natural enemies. The authors identify new issues for each of the major approaches in applied biological control. These include the (1) use of molecular genetics to trace the origin of target pests in classical biological control, (2) potential of mass-reared, transgenic agents in augmentative biological control, and (3) compatibility of transgenic crops and natural enemies in conservational biological control.
