minibombo
Minibombo makes picture books characterized by clear images and solid colours, telling stories with a short text or no text at all. The books aim to create a participated reading process between adults and children and require a bit of creativity and cooperation on their part. Minibombo loves to explore different types of communication. This is why some of its paper stories have become the starting point for creating digital applications. The apps refer to the original stories in the books and develop them further by exploiting a different code. All the minibombo apps are available worldwide on the App Store and Google Play. Minibombo started in Reggio Emilia, Italy, in 2013. Since its beginnings, it has been highly appreciated both by readers and operators in the sector and has been awarded several prizes which have helped make its books known among a wide public. Its books are translated in more than fourteen counties worldwide.

England and the 1966 World Cup presents a cultural analysis of what is considered a key 'moment of modernity' in the nation's post-war history. Regarded as having an importance beyond its primary sporting purpose, the World Cup in England is examined within the complexity of the cultural, social and political changes that characterised the mid-1960s. Yet, although addressing the importance of non-sport related connections, the book maintains a focus on football, discussing it as a 'cultural form' and presenting an original perspective on the aesthetic accomplishment in football tactics by England's manager, Alf Ramsey. The study considers the World Cup in relation to the cup tradition, England as the World Cup host nation, the England squad and masculinity, the modernism of England's manager Alf Ramsey, design and commercial aspects of the World Cup, a critical engagement within existing academic accounts, and an examination of how England's victory has been remembered and commemorated.

Johannes Jansen ist 1966 in Ost-Berlin geboren und lebte in Freiburg, Leipzig und Pankow. Nach der Lehre als Graveur und der Absolvierung des Armeedienstes bei der NVA studierte er Graphik. Er lebt als freier Autor in Berlin. Norman Lindner, geboren 1969 in Halle, schloss nach einer Lehre zum Forstfachwirt ein Studium der Bildenden Kunst und Philosophie in Kassel bei Dorothee von Windheim, Alf Schuler, Harry Kramer und Hannes Böhringer ab. Früher arbeitete er als Grafikdesigner und Kunstkritiker für u.a. die taz.die tageszeitung und die Berliner Zeitung. Heute ist er als Autor, Künstler und Heilerziehungspfleger beschäftigt und lebt in Berlin-Lichtenberg.

This volume of essays is the first to be dedicated to the subject of intertextuality in modern Arabic literature. Beginning with a general overview of the topic by Roger Allen, it brings together essays on a range of writers from all parts of the Arab world, including, among others, Edwar al-Kharrat, Sa'd Allah Wannus, Najib Mahfuz, Rabi' Jabir, Salim Matar and the recently deceased Sudanese writer al-Tayyib Salih, whose seminal work Season of Migration to the North heralded a new phase in the modern Arabic literary tradition. The volume, which also includes two essays on aspects of intertextuality in Gulf literature, also discusses transformations of popular medieval literature such as the Alf Layla wa-Layla (the Thousand and One Nights) in modern Arabic literature. ;

Autoren wurden auf den Index gesetzt, ihre Werke verboten und verbrannt. Erfolgreich waren die, die sich bewußt in den Dienst der Nationalsozialisten stellten. Doch nicht alle Literatur, die zwischen 1933 und 1945 in Deutschland veröffentlicht wurde, war »Naziliteratur«. Das literarische Leben war weitaus vielfältiger, als es sich in einem solch repressiven System erwarten ließe. Ideologienahe Literatur war nur eine Seite des Literaturbetriebs. Die andere Seite zeigt sich beispielsweise darin, daß es für jüdische Autorinnen und Autoren, wie für Gertrud Kolmar und Mascha Kaléko, noch bis 1938 bescheidene Publikationsmöglichkeiten in Deutschland gab. Viele Schriftsteller, die den Nationalsozialismus verabscheuten und verfolgt wurden, emigrierten ins Ausland, wie Bertolt Brecht oder Thomas Mann. Andere jedoch, wie Ricarda Huch oder Erich Kästner, blieben und suchten Zuflucht im »inneren Exil« – oder bemühten sich um Anpassung, wie Hans Fallada oder Gerhart Hauptmann. Und dann sind noch viele der großen Autoren der Nachkriegszeit zu nennen, wie Marie Luise Kaschnitz, Wolfgang Koeppen oder Max Frisch, deren literarische Anfänge in ebendiesen Jahren lagen. Das biographische Lexikon versammelt die wichtigsten Schriftsteller, die zwischen 1933 und 1945 in Deutschland publizierten – auch die, die bislang nirgends Berücksichtigung fanden. Es liefert verläßliche Daten und Beurteilungen, wertet erstmals zugängliche Dokumente aus und gibt in einem ausführlichen Essay eine Einführung in die Literatur- und Verlagspolitik der NS-Zeit.
