      • Racconti del bosco dei conigli - Il profumo dolce dell'autunno

        by Giuditta Campello

Summer is ending. Autumn gives the first signs of its silent arrival: evening falls earlier, the leaves change colour, a cooler wind ruffles the fur. Hazel does not want it to be like that, however. She insists on snacking on the lawn and goes to call Alma, her turtle friend, to play together at the pond. But Alma is so sleepy, she is going to hibernate soon. So, she goes to Marta to do a little work. But Marta is about to leave. Like every year, she will go south to her sister. While Blackberry and Blueberry go with their mother and grandfather to gather chestnuts, Hazel, all alone on the swing, feels a melancholy growing inside her. She wishes autumn would not come. Comforting her is her grandmother who sings the song of autumn...  A story of growth, love, friendship. A story of small discoveries in the sweetness of family love, in which we learn, day after day, to care for each other.

Smart Poster - At Fairy Tales School

Activities to learn the characteristics, structure and characters of the fairy tale genre

by Giuditta Gottardi, Ginevra G. Gottardi

Smart Poster – At fairytale school designed to accompany boys and girls in the discovery of the fairytale genre and learn to read the structure of fairy tales and create new ones. It makes the vertical space of the classroom walls the fulcrum of physical movement, didactic action, play, and reflection, expanding the possibilities that the horizontal space of the classroom already makes available to the school. The bookThe numerous activities proposed in At fairytale school are organized by increasing difficulty and guarantee the progressive consolidation and enhancement of knowledge of the fundamental elements of the fairy tale. The volume is structured in three parts.  The introduction offers a theoretical overview of the world of fairy tales and some teaching methods used to involve, entertain and practice with pupils.  The presentation of the materials analyzes all the tools necessary for carrying out the activities. The last part of the text offers a guide to the activities to be carried out in the classroom. The posterThe poster is structured with infographic elements that allow a new visual approach to the genre of the fairy tale. The upper part of the poster is dedicated to the hero’s climb instead of the classic winding path, a metaphor for the difficult and tiring journey of the hero through the pitfalls of the fairy tale. In the poster, a central perspective is proposed that the castle as its focal point, the ideal destination for the protagonist. The path to follow is a ladder to climb, where each step is characterized by a different color: green represents the relaxed and countryside situation typical of the beginning of fairy tales; red breaks the initial equilibrium with its upset by introducing the antagonist; orange characterizes the phase relating to the tests that the hero must pass; finally blue denotes the return to peace and quiet and the arrival at the happy ending. Along the way, there are the envelopes containing the cards that represent the various components of the fairy tale. The SMART POSTER lineErickson’s new editorial line SMART POSTER is aimed at all scholastic levels, from kindergarten and up, to make a static tool like a poster into something active. Each Smart Poster consists of a real poster and a volume of workshop activities that the teacher can carry out as group or individual activities. A collaborative and inclusive teaching tool that favors participation, cooperative and metacognitive activity that develops in the classroom spaces, between the desk and the walls.

Violencia de género y las respuestas de los sistemas penales

        by Encarna Bodelón (comp.)

The problem of impunity and the devaluation of the rights of women who suffer sexist violence in intimate relationships is still present in European penal systems. The basic question is what differentiates sexist violence in the sphere of the couple from other types of violence. This type of violence in the sphere of the couple has nothing to do with what is known as injuries in the criminal sphere, but rather "gender violence, sexist violence, violence against women". The "problem" is not the women who report or do not report, but to what extent criminal treatment pursues the reported behaviors and protects women who suffer violence. In diverse contexts we will see common problems and remote solutions, but which coincide in not being yet ensuring the freedom of women. Our purpose is to advance in the construction of women's rights and denounce that the insufficient guarantee of the right to a life free of violence is an attack against all women, against all citizens and a burden of the patriarchal State.

        Why I can't like him/her?

by Anna Claudia Ramos, Antônio Schimeneck

Adolescence is a time of many doubts, anxieties and uncertainties. In this phase, sexuality is unfolding, and we are going through — because everyone has gone, is going or will go through — self-questions about all conditions, all desires, including regarding sexuality. If on the one hand, we see in beautiful social networks beautiful movements of self-acceptance and discovery, on the other hand we live in a time of great obscurantism and attempt to cage the desires and contain the experiences of young people – whether at home or at school, and unfortunately, many times, with public authority initiative. This book asks this of young people, who often find themselves trapped by a cultural need (or family pressure) to create heteronormative bonds, when, in fact, they feel the desire for people of the same sex. But this book also understands that it is necessary to take this issue to the world, so that everyone reflects on otherness, sexuality and, mainly, the many possibilities of affection and desire. Por que não consigo gostar dele/dela? is a book with two sides, two covers, four stories and many testimonials.
