Bernd Liske, born in 1956, studied mathematics in Chemnitz and is the owner of Liske information management systems. From its founding in 1998 until May 2015, Bernd Liske was a member of the main board of BITKOM, where he worked in the defense, education and knowledge management working groups. In the course of his efforts to deal with the revelations of Edward Snowden in the NSA affair, he was expelled from BITKOM in 2015. From 1998 to 2003 he was a member of the board of the Association of Organizations and Information Systems (VOI). Bernd Liske has been dealing with socio-political issues for many years. In his analyzes and concepts, he deals with social, political and economic problems in our society in order to make contributions to maintaining Germany as a business location. His book “PRISM A Lesson for our Democracy”, published in September, grew out of this. The diversity of the topics he deals with as well as the systemic principles used for their treatment can be followed on his homepage at and on his TWITTER channels @BerndLiske, @LiskeAphorismen and @LiskeZitate. He now regards his aphorisms as an open source operating system for the analysis and design of social processes and has been using them successfully for years.

Jacques Rivette is perhaps the best-kept secret of French cinema. A founding figure in the New Wave, and at the centre of the Cahiers du cinéma team, he developed into one of the most unusual and adventurous French directors of the last sixty years, yet his work remains little-known in comparison with his contemporaries, and this study is the first in English to look at the full span of his career. Starting with his decisively influential film criticism of the 1950s, it moves from the New Wave through the complex, experimental films of the 1970s to the challenging, playful dramas which ensured his visibility during the following two decades, and ends in the present, including Rivette's most recent films, Histoire de Marie et Julien (2003) and Ne touchez pas la hache (2007). In the last quarter of the twentieth century, if French people had a parenting problem or dilemma there was one person they consulted above all: Françoise Dolto (1908-88). But who was Dolto? How did she achieve a position of such influence? What ideas did she communicate to the French public? This book connects the story of Dolto's rise to two broader histories: the dramatic growth of psychoanalysis in postwar France and the long-running debate over the family and the proper role of women in society. It shows that Dolto's continued reputation in France as a liberal and enlightened educational thinker is at best only partially deserved and that conservative and anti-feminist ideas often underpinned her prominent public interventions. Jacques Derrida wurde am 15. Juli 1930 in El-Biar in der Nähe von Algier als Sohn jüdischer Eltern geboren und starb am 8.Oktober 2004 in Paris. Während seiner Schulzeit war er antisemitischen Repressionen ausgesetzt. Ab 1949 lebte er in Frankreich und besuchte das Lycée Louis-le-Grand in Paris. Von 1952 bis 1954 studierte er an der École Normale Supérieure, wo er Vorlesungen bei Louis Althusser und Michel Foucault besuchte und sich mit Pierre Bourdieu anfreundete. 1956 gewann er ein Stipendium für einen Studienaufenthalt an der Harvard University. Während seines Militärdienstes von 1957 bis 1959 lehrte er Englisch und Französisch in Algerien. Von 1960 bis 1964 war er wissenschaftlicher Assistent an der Sorbonne. Ab 1965 bis 1984 bekleidete er eine Professur für Geschichte der Philosophie an der École Normale Supérieure. Den Durchbruch erlangte Derrida im Jahr 1967, als er nahezu zeitgleich in drei bekannten Verlagen drei wichtige Schriften veröffentlichte: De la grammatologie, La Voix et le phénomène sowie L'écriture et la différence. Auf Vortragsreisen in den USA lernte er Paul de Man und Jacques Lacan kennen. 1981 gründete er die Gesellschaft Jan Hus (eine Hilfsorganisation für verfolgte tschechische Intellektuelle). Im selben Jahr wurde er in Prag verhaftet und erst nach einer energischen Intervention François Mitterrands und der französischen Regierung von der Tschechoslowakei freigelassen. 1983 gründete er das Collège international de philosophie, zu dessen erstem Direktor er gewählt wurde. Im selben Jahr wurde er zum Forschungsdirektor an der École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris ernannt. Er starb am 8. Oktober 2004 in Paris.
