        Acqua Alta

The adventures of a little tourist in the fantastic Venezia, a silent comic book

        by Nik Neves (author)

Acqua Alta is a silent comic book created during a trip to Venice, where the author Nik Neves drew the places he wandered through. There, he imagined a little girl in the scenes, living adventures that can be enjoyed by kids, their parents and everybody that likes Venice and getting lost while traveling. The little character detaches herself from her tourist group and wanders through less touristic places in The Floating City: the "Calle della Morte," a mysterious palace, cruise ships, a dead dove in the center of the Campo. The second edition of Acqua Alta will premiere at the International Frankfurt Book Fair. It includes a presentation in portuguese/english by the author, is printed in two special colors (petrol green and brick red) on special paper, has patterned endpapers, handmade bookbinding and carton cover.

        The Merchant of Bullshit

        by J.D.B.

A rotting gene has infiltrated mankind’s cognitive process at an advanced level and turned it into gibberish.  Moreover, the Dronzyme, an integral part of the Detox Unorthodox advocated by major forces in the Consultancy Sector, actively stimulates the production of this gene via a benign mucous in the larynx. Soon, under the auspices of the Catallus Group, a new language and functionality possesses the mindset, and no one is considered immune. The Capital itself becomes a repository for degenerate ideas and concepts, whose terror becomes flesh with the birth of a quasi-physical oaf. Herein is the awful truth of the Schnimp, and the Corporate Giants now forced to obey its commands... in a unprecedented wave of NONSENSE. The explanation: The Merchant of Bullshit is a satire on the City of London, and its all-pervading, meaningless jargon, part of the global war against intelligence, as documented by someone who worked nights for over 15 years immersed in it. The author: (location unknown) lives in a shed in Myrddin’s Precinct where he communes with drunken spirits and entities, and launches vitriolic assaults against the Satanic Inertias of the Capital, soon to be revisited in The Gnat.  A series of endless night-shifts in the Ancient City of London drives him to the terrifying conclusion that its entire existence is a Hoax – a bankrupt Government, media and economy imprisoned in a Tower of Babble.  But can a man certified as insane – twice – complete his mission to rescue the intellectual heritage of his Nation?  Who knows.  For now, he sleeps amid the empty quarts and flasks, waiting to spring forth from his chrysalis...

        Land of Tornadoes

        by Melanie S. Wolfe

The dustbowl is back, Frackheads roam the lawless streets, and one family plots to take down the oil company that caused it all.   They were supposed to be the next Kennedys, each adopted Wilson teen prepared for a specific political office, but when their father, CTO of Colossal Oil is falsely accused of stealing from the company after he publicly voices his concerns about the recent return of the dustbowl and fracking chemicals leaking into the drinking water and its correlation to the current outbreak of Frackheads (people who drink tainted water and become psychopaths and roam the roads with one mission, to kill for fun) the family’s focus goes from the future to a hacking revenge operation. However, the eight kids are getting burned out and want to move on with their lives. After their night off in OKC, and a series of unfortunate events, the once unified Wilson clan struggle to keep themselves alive and their beautiful, unique family together while John, their father crumbles under the weight of a secret about their adoptions.   From the author: At the time I wrote this novel I was binge-watching Mr. Robot and we were experiencing a lot of earthquakes in Oklahoma. So much that my kitchen tile floor formed a speed bump three feet long over the course of a weekend. The locals wouldn't dare implicate fracking or the holy oil companies for fear of losing jobs. Yet the New York Times and several other credible sources pointed the finger at fracking. I had wanted to write a book that was somehow inspired and influenced by The Outsiders and The Grapes of Wrath and this was my opportunity. However, I didn't want to write about the stereotypical poor people who were victims of their oppressors. I wanted strong characters who could give the elites a true punch in the gut.
