        May the Loveforce Be With You

        Kali-Ki Reiki: Healing Through Divine Mother & Yogic Wisdom

        by Rajashree Maa

        May the Loveforce Be With introduces a new lineage in energy healing, Kali-Ki ReikiTM, that was revealed to the author, Joni Dittrich, Ph.D. (Rajashree Maa), in a series of mystical encounters with the Divine Mother appearing as the goddess Kali Maa. The book brilliantly tells the stories of these encounters and presents the healing symbols that She revealed, explaining how these symbols can be used both for mind-body healing and spiritual awakening, or what Rajashree Maa calls "wisening." While traditional reiki systems also use symbols to transmit healing energy, the symbols introduced in Kali-Ki Reiki are seen as unique, three-dimensional, active, intelligent forms of light that tap into certain universal energy frequencies that are particularly attuned to the evolving conscious awareness as well as the personal and societal dilemmas of our current times. The fact that these symbols were revealed by Divine Mother to a woman in this era points to a need in today's world to re-establish our connection with the feminine forces of nature and spirit. The healing energy transmitted through these symbols is called Loveforce, which is considered to be the manifesting, creative, and healing power of the Limitless Love that is the Source of all that is.

        Surface tensions

        Surface, finish and the meaning of objects

        by Christopher Breward, Glenn Adamson, Victoria Kelley, Bill Sherman

        Surfaces are often held to be of lesser consequence than 'deeper' or more 'substantive' aspects of artworks and objects. Yet it is also possible to conceive of the surface in more positive terms: as a site where complex forces meet. Surfaces can be theorized as membranes, protective shells, sensitive skins, even thicknesses in their own right. The surface is not so much a barrier to content as an opportunity for encounter: in new objects, the surface is the site of qualities of finish, texture, the site of tactile interaction, the last point of contact between object and maker, and the first point of contact between object and user. Surface tensions includes sixteen essays that explore this theoretically uncharted terrain. The subjects range widely: domestic maintenance; avant-garde fashion; the faking of antiques; postmodern architecture and design; contemporary film costume. Of particular emphasis within the volume are textiles, which are among the most complex and culturally rich materialisations of surface. As a whole, the book provides insights into the whole lifecycle of objects, not just their condition when new. ;

        Jimmy Adamson

        The Man Who Said No to England

        by Dave Thomas

        Jimmy Adamson was a football enigma, revered by some, disliked by others - a supremely elegant player of the '50s and early '60s, a title winner and a respected coach, but a manager whose spirit was ultimately shattered. In 1962, Adamson had the world at his feet: FA Cup finalist, Footballer of the Year and invited to become England manager, having been assistant at the World Cup in Chile. But Adamson said 'no'. In 1970 he predicted that Burnley would become the 'Team of the Seventies', but despotic chairman Bob Lord's selling policy saw the vision fade and die. Controversially sacked in 1976, Adamson moved to Sunderland and then endured two torrid years at Leeds United before turning his back on the game. This is a poignant story of broken dreams, failed ambitions and personal tragedy, ending in estrangement from the club he loved. A story of what might have been.

        by Joni Keim

        Angels & Aromas celebrates the association of angels and aromas. The best-known angelic aroma, detected upon an angel’s arrival and departure, has been described as something close to rose...an exquisitely beautiful floral aroma...complex, sweet, and rich. This guide explores the natural aromas from essential oils that can be used in association with angels as a representation and affirmation of the angels’ responsibilities and characteristics. You do not need an aroma to be in the presence of angels. Angels will be with you at any time and any place. But if you enjoy the beautiful and enticing aromas of essential oils, they work wonderfully to enhance your encounters and experiences with the angelic realm.

        The Dark Architect

        by Marko Hautala

        A house is a machine to live in, even after death.   An un-putdownable, eerie literary thriller of urban paranoia, where a block of flats appears to be hiding terrible secrets. Secrets that should not be revealed...   A young man suffering from MDD, or maladaptive daydreaming, has traveled the world aimlessly for years using his family’s money. Fed up, his father buys him a moderate flat in a small Nordic city and forces him to finish his studies. He wants his son to finally become a man, not a dreamer. But when darkness falls, everything changes. An unexplained humming resonates in the walls, making sleep impossible. Other more mysterious sounds follow. It seems that throughout the night, someone is running up and down the dark stairway. While the culprit appears to be impossible to find, the echo of bare feet on the steps night after night is very real indeed. When the young man starts to look into the history of his flat, strange tragedies seem to have plagued the past and, gradually, also the present of the building. Looking further back in time, the young man finds out that the first person to live in his flat is someone the old residents call the Architect, a mysterious patriarch who designed the whole building according to an ancient pattern as a machine to live in...even after death.   The Dark Architect is a literary horror novel which deals with the mistrust between generations, whose dreams and nightmares very seldom seem to meet. It is a fresh Nordic take on the most classic and enduring of Gothic tropes, the haunted house.
