Editions Difaf
Editions Difaf, a Lebanese publishing house founded in 2012, in response to the market need of modern and classic Arabic literature, comparative literature and novels in Philosophy and related subjects. The house has faced great challenges and was able to present hundreds of intellectual titles, linguistics and novels. Many of the publishing house books was shortlisted for the following leading literary awards (Sheikh Zayed Book Award, the Booker prize, Naguib Mahfouz) and has become an important source in the studies issued by Arab scholars. Behind this literature is a committee of reviewers who carefully select books eligible for publishing. Editions Difaf created partnership agreements to overcome distribution barriers and governmental censorship. Moreover, the publishing house focused throughout the past years on translating non-Arabic literature. Panda is a part of Edition Difaf which focuses on publishing children's books. Up till now more than 120 titles were published to serve the youth in the Arab countries.

Founded in 1947, Samir Éditeur is a Beirut-based francophone publishing house specializing in children’s books and textbooks. We publish in both French and Arabic languages, and our books are distributed worldwide. Our children’s book list includes picture books, first readers, fiction and non-fiction titles for ages 2 to 17. We publish original content as well as carefully curated translations such as Roald Dahl’s books. Our family of culturally and geographically diverse authors and illustrators enriches our catalogue with award-winning titles, such as our YA title Caballero by Lenia Major that won 3 awards and got 3 mentions in France (2017-2018) or our picture book Raconte encore, grand-mère ! by Marido Viale and Xavière Broncard that won the Prix Chronos (2016). Our latest YA novel Droit devant is currently shortlisted for 5 literary awards. We are among those who were the most affected by the Beirut blast this past August. Our offices were completely destroyed; fortunately, our staff had been working from home due to the covid outbreak, so there were no human losses. Strange Days Books, Social Cooperative Enterprise
Strange Days Books is a social cooperative publishing firm based in Crete, Greece. Since 2012 we have published almost 100 books. Every year we organize Sand Festival, an online Writers’ Workshop and - in cooperation with www.eyelands.gr literary magazine - the one and only international short story competition based in Greece, plus our International Book Awards. In 2019 SDB was the only publishing house in Greece to receive approval by the European Union’s Creative Europe translation funding program for its project "Strange Days in Europe”. Strange Days Books is an entirely independent publisher, primarily interested in showcasing the wealth of new writing voices in Greece. We work closely with our authors to create books that will appeal to booklovers, books about the present, books that strive to push the art of literature forward, books written with talent and passion, books that challenge the way we see the world, books bursting with new ideas and intriguing perspectives.
