The book is a great responsibility, starting with its writing and making, through publishing and distributing it, and ending with acquiring and reading it, and in each of these cases, we need to be very careful of this responsibility. The author is primarily responsible for the subject and content of the book, an intellectual, emotional, literary responsibility, because the author who does not elevate his book to the reader in an ascending way, whether on the intellectual and emotional or literary and artistic levels, will constitute a scientific disappointment. The publisher is no less responsible for the author, the subject matter and the content, in addition to his responsibility for producing the book in a way that suits the book’s topic and importance. This is in addition to his media responsibility towards the book, so readers must be alerted and informed of the most creative methods and finest means about the book’s issuance, its importance and the importance of its topics, and enabling them to obtain and acquire it, and any failure to do so is a great disappointment. The Shoestring Publisher
The Shoestring Publisher is an independent publisher of illustrated books on India’s history and cultural heritage, with a particular focus on the visual arts including architecture, fine art, design, film, photography and textiles. Founded by Meera Ahuja in 2006, it has received the Indian Tourism Award for Excellence in Publishing for its panoramic limited editions The Monumental India Book (acclaimed as one of the world’s ten best coffee-table books of 2009) and The Sacred India Book. Its most recent publications are America: Films from Elsewhere (2019) and the monograph Mrinalini Mukherjee, published in conjunction with the exhibition “Phenomenal Nature: Mrinalini Mukherjee” at The Met Breuer, NY, in 2019. Fukuinkan Shoten Publishers, Inc. has started its business in the year 1916 as a bookseller and have specialized in the publications of children's books and books about children for about 70 years. One of the major characteristic of our publication is our monthly picture books series which were launched back in 1956 starting with the “Kodomo no Tomo”. Many masterworks have been produced such as “Guri and Gura” and “Everyone Poops” through this series.Apart from the monthly picture books, we have introduced a lot of works which have been endeared by children all over the world for a long period of time such as the “Kiki’s Delivery Service” series by Eiko Kadono (2018 Hans Christian Andersen Award Winner for Writing). We have always hoped to publish picture books and story books that are unforgettable and stay in our readers’ hearts for many years to come which is an unchanged goal we aim for.

Bernd Liske
Bernd Liske, born in 1956, studied mathematics in Chemnitz and is the owner of Liske information management systems. From its founding in 1998 until May 2015, Bernd Liske was a member of the main board of BITKOM, where he worked in the defense, education and knowledge management working groups. In the course of his efforts to deal with the revelations of Edward Snowden in the NSA affair, he was expelled from BITKOM in 2015. From 1998 to 2003 he was a member of the board of the Association of Organizations and Information Systems (VOI). Bernd Liske has been dealing with socio-political issues for many years. In his analyzes and concepts, he deals with social, political and economic problems in our society in order to make contributions to maintaining Germany as a business location. His book “PRISM A Lesson for our Democracy”, published in September, grew out of this. The diversity of the topics he deals with as well as the systemic principles used for their treatment can be followed on his homepage at and on his TWITTER channels @BerndLiske, @LiskeAphorismen and @LiskeZitate. He now regards his aphorisms as an open source operating system for the analysis and design of social processes and has been using them successfully for years.
