Our publishing company was founded in 1957 by Paolo Boringhieri focusing on science, mythology and ethnology. In 1987 Giulio Bollati joined the company, taking with him his expertise in history, philosophy , and literary fiction.Since then , the two souls of the publisher scientific studies and humanities have followed intertwined paths. In 2009 Bollati Boringhieri was a cquired by Gruppo editoriale Mauri Spagnol (GeMS) a group including 11 publishing companiesand 20 imprints. On the non fiction side, we are strongly interested in every project that shows human comprehensive history. From Random House/Fodor’s Travel to Hyperion/Disney, to Farrar, Straus & Giroux, my experience enabled me to work on print and digital deals for a wide range of authors with a broad spectrum of global companies. I am also the head of the Rights Committee for the Book Industry Study Group, where we focus on helping to identify and solve problems within the Rights area of publishing. Fagervik forlag was founded in 2019 - with the sole purpose of publishing Lene Lauritsen Kjølners novels about the funny private detective Olivia Henriksen - and other projects that might pop up from this author. The latest addition beeing the first book in the feelgood-series about Petra Pettersen. "Petra Pettersens perfect plan - eight weeks till Christmas". Obviously a christmas novel, and not crime this time. Lene is currently working on Olivia 8 - due to be published in june 2021. The author are from - and lives - in the archipelago in southern Norway, and all her novels take place in beautiful, idyllic surroundings - but with a twist, lots of humour and only one litte murder in each book. Petra has not yet experienced anything bloody - just a complicated love life...

Masr El Arabia for Publishing and Distribution
We are Masr El Arabia for Publishing and Distribution, an Egyptian publishing house located in Cairo – Egypt. Established in 1977 with a focus on distribution and few but carefully selected titles. In 2007 we decided to shift more to publishing and started with academic books then lately we added a new line which is translated literature, we care most about the quality of the work and we managed to present many foreign authors for the first time to the Arab readers such as Goncalo Tavares, Immanuel Mifsud, Reiner Englemann, Julian Fuks, Kelly James Clark and others, also we managed to publish the Nobel laureate Svetlana Alexievich (Chernobyl Prayer) 2015, Jo Nesbo and many others during the past few years. We would like to mention that prior to the publishing house, we established Al Thaqafa Al Jadeeda Bookshop in the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi) which was one of the first book shops in the country. We participate in almost all the Arab book fairs, and we have our books distributed in every Arab country through the major bookshop chains and local distributors.
