CAMELOZAMPA is an independent children’s books publisher, founded in Italy in 2011 and winner of the BOP 2020 - Bologna Prize for the Best Children’s Publishers of the Year (Europe). Our aim is to publish fresh and inspiring picture books and novels that help young readers in pursuing happiness, understanding diversities, becoming aware of themselves. One of our strong points is the rediscovery of international masterpieces that never appeared on the Italian market or that have not been available for long time. Alongside these redescoveries we carry out a creative production work, thanks to Italian and international authors and illustrators who share with us the fascinating and unpredictable path which leads to the birth of a children’s book. We think independent publishers have the task to cultivate bibliodiversity, in order to get narrations to their readers, through images and words that can amaze, excite, reflect, offer unexpected glimpses and open windows on far-off or nearby different worlds.

The book places the spectacular Roman advance during a single “long” century (323-188 BCE) in a much wider geo-politico-economic context than existing works; explains how the Romans perfected a three-pronged blueprint of imperial conquest which had been devised by Philip II of Macedon; and incorporates timeless observations from the likes of Appian, Arrian, Clausewitz, Diodorus, Livy, Machiavelli, Plutarch, Polybius, Sun Tzu and Thucydides. The book also explains how the Romans generated a host of lessons to be studied by anyone concerned with the processes through which overseas empires are won and lost. Segni d'Autore, is an italian comic book publisher, was born in Rome in 2011 and has fifty titles in the catalog of graphic novels, illustrated non fiction books and illustrated children books. Our graphic novels are based on Adventure, of pure imagination, but which moves the action of the characters in a historical context documented in both iconographic and bibliographic sources, like: Il Caso Sindelar, Il Giglio Bianco di Stalingrado, Baracca e il Barone, Deerfield 1704, San Martino 1859. We also publish comics from great classics of adventurous literature of important writers, like:E. Salgari, A. Dumas, R. L. Stevenson, W. Scott, Z. Grey.

Get Fresh Books Publishing is a non-profit, cooperative press devoted to amplifying diverse voices in poetry and making the publication process accessible to marginalized communities. Our primary objective is to provide opportunities for underrepresented voices by eliminating economic and societal barriers, such as submission fees and contests, which may inhibit marginalized voices from contributing to the literary conversation. As a cooperative press, we encourage manuscript submissions from BIPOC, LGBTQ+, people with disabilities and people living with mental illnesses. By doing so, we explicitly reject any “ism” or phobia which seeks to suppress the voices of those who receive insufficient or inadequate representation in literature. In the four short years of our founding, we have been able to preserve our commitment to diversity and inclusivity by publishing the work of 12 talented and distinct poets, whose poetry cover a wide range of topics from ethnicity, sexuality and religion to immigration, suicide and discrimination. Our press’s cooperative process of integrating the ideas and skills of our poets, editors and publisher have given us the ability to bring fresh and diverse voices into the literary world. With the help of donations, grants and private investments, we have been able to publish each literary work without charging a single submission fee to ensure that poets and writers of all ages, ethnicities, sexual orientations, abilities, and economic statuses would have their voices heard.

Strange Days Books is a social cooperative publishing firm based in Crete, Greece. Since 2012 we have published almost 100 books. Every year we organize Sand Festival, an online Writers’ Workshop and - in cooperation with www.eyelands.gr literary magazine - the one and only international short story competition based in Greece, plus our International Book Awards. In 2019 SDB was the only publishing house in Greece to receive approval by the European Union’s Creative Europe translation funding program for its project "Strange Days in Europe”. Strange Days Books is an entirely independent publisher, primarily interested in showcasing the wealth of new writing voices in Greece. We work closely with our authors to create books that will appeal to booklovers, books about the present, books that strive to push the art of literature forward, books written with talent and passion, books that challenge the way we see the world, books bursting with new ideas and intriguing perspectives.
