Mehrere Jahre lebte er mit seiner Familie in der Siedlung Bat Ayin im Westjordanland: Die Ermordung von Ministerpräsident Rabin durch einen orthodoxen Fanatiker erschütterte Gelleri so tief, daß er seinen Glauben einer erneuten Prüfung unterzog. Er kehrte der religiösen Welt den Rücken zu und nahm seinen früheren säkularen Lebensstil wieder auf. Er ist ein hochrangiger israelischer Reserveoffizier. This edition of The Honest Man's Fortune, a play co-written by John Fletcher, Nathan Field, and Philip Massinger for the Lady Elizabeth's Men in 1613 and revived for the King's Men in 1625, is the first diplomatic edition of one of the most remarkable dramatic manuscripts of the early modern period. Almost uniquely, the fair-copy manuscript records the entire process of the circular transmission of the text from authors to censor to bookkeeper to actors to playhouse, as well as the types of revision each required. In the hand of Edward Knight, the King's Men's book-keeper, this manuscript's title-page notes that it was '/Plaide In the yeare 1613/' and contains one of the few surviving complete licences by Master of the Revels Sir Henry Herbert who states, 'This Play. Being an olde One and the Originall Lost was reallowd by mee. This: 8 febru. 1624 [i.e., 1625]'. In fact, Herbert accepted as payment for the new licence a printed edition of Sir Philip Sidney's /Arcadia/. More excitingly, the many cuts, deletions, and marginal and interlinear additions and revisions as well as the names of three actors in its stage directions show us two transmissions of this text: the first in 1613, when it was composed and licensed and then adjusted by the authors, and the second in 1625, when it went through almost the same process for revival. With a full discussion of the manuscript's material properties, provenance, transcription history, and the play's composition and performance history, this new edition of /The Honest Man's Fortune/ puts the play where it belongs: at the centre of the canon of Jacobean drama. ;

Jetzt ist Sehenszeit (Suhrkamp 1998) sowie jetzt: max frisch (Suhrkamp 2001) und arbeitet als freier Journalist und Autor in Zürich. It unpacks the taken-for-granted aspects of the lives of war correspondents, exposing the principles of interaction and valorisation that usually go unacknowledged. Is journalistic authority really only about doing the job well? Do the ethics of war reporting emerge simply from the 'stuff' of journalism? This book asks why it is that the authoritative reporter increasingly needs to appear authentic, and that success depends not only on getting things right but being the right sort of journalist. This, in turn, depends on the uncalculating mastery of practices both before and during a journalist's career. This book includes interviews with war correspondents and others with an active stake in the field and combines them with the critical sociology of Pierre Bourdieu to construct a political phenomenology of war reporting - the power relations and unspoken 'rules of the game' underpinning the representation of conflict and suffering by the media. Sie wird als "Best of Young British Novelists" nominiert. 1983 erhält sie "The Somerset Maugham Award" für Keepers of the House. Dieser Roman kommt ebenfalls in die engere Wahl für den "Casa de las Américas"-Preis. Ihre Romane Joanna und Hüter des Hauses, der Erzählband Der Marmorberg und andere Geschichten sowie ihr Bericht Ein Haus in Italien liegen im suhrkamp taschenbuch vor, Venedig. Lisa St Aubin de Terán wurde am 2. Oktober 1953 als Tochter einer Engländerin und eines Guyaners in London geboren. Sie wuchs in London auf und begann bereits im Alter von 12 Jahren zu schreiben. Nach ihrer Heirat mit dem Venezolaner Jaime Terán lebte Lisa St Aubin de Terán in den venezolanischen Anden. Sieben Jahre lang führte sie dort eine Hazienda. Nach ihrer Rückkehr nach Europa veröffentlicht sie 1982 ihren ersten Roman, Keepers of the House, der noch im gleichen Jahr von The Slow Train to Milan gefolgt wird. Sie wird als "Best of Young British Novelists" nominiert. 1983 erhält sie "The Somerset Maugham Award" für Keepers of the House. Dieser Roman kommt ebenfalls in die engere Wahl für den "Casa de las Américas"-Preis. Ihre Romane Joanna und Hüter des Hauses, der Erzählband Der Marmorberg und andere Geschichten sowie ihr Bericht Ein Haus in Italien liegen im suhrkamp taschenbuch vor, Venedig.
