The Cultural Value Framework Book in the Oral Stories of the Aborigine of Temiar, Gua Musang, Kelantan, is a study and analysis of some of the original oral stories presented by Ibrahim Marajiah, an experienced storyteller. All of these oral stories focus on the discovery of common values that are familiar to the aborigines of Temiar, Gua Musang, Kelantan from ancient times and nurtured to this day. In addition, the cultural framework approach has been a deductive study of each analysis of the values of indigenous oral stories to make their production and discussion more robust. A string of these great collaborations can contain some of the original oral stories of the Aborigine of Temiar, Gua Musang, Kelantan such as Buah Mangkung dengan Seekor Anjing, Burung Kuang dengan Harimau, Bertindak Tanpa Akal, Sepakat Menyelamatkan Diri, Sang Kura-kura yang Bijaksana, Cucu yang Bijaksana, Pengail yang Pintar, Tangkal Hikmah dan Manusia Jelmaan Anjing. In this regard, readers will have a better understanding of the details of the values contained in the oral stories of the Temiar native, Gua Musang, Kelantan to serve as a foundation for great self-esteem for the soul and body.

Kelantan is rich in traditional art such as dikir barat, makyung, menora, shadow play, main peteri, bageh and a few others. These arts are among those that have been established for centuries in the state of Kelantan, growing and not only nationally but internationally, for example dikir barat, makyung and shadow play. Even Makyung in 2005, was named as UNESCO's World Intangible Cultural Heritage. The book attempts to explore the art of shadow play through the highlight of the involvement of a mastermind, the now-famous Tok Dalang Che Ann in Kelantan state. The art of ever- refreshing shadow play is a very unique performing art. Using beautifully carved statues, the use of curtains and the effects of shadows, shadow play has been presented for public viewing since time immemorial, as well as famous among local and foreign tourists. The book was produced in conjunction with the launch of the National Cultural Policy or DAKEN (2021) last October that emphasized the importance of art and heritage.

This anthology of traditional and classical works is a collection of poetry and fiction, legal digests, epistles and religious treatises, narrated, sung or written in the Malay language, in the Malay Archipelago. This language was and is widespread in the Malay Peninsula, Singapore, Sabah, Sarawak, Brunei, in Kalimantan, (Indonesian Borneo), including Pontianak, Ketapang, Sintang, Banjarmasin, Kutai and Samarinda. It was the lingua franca for most of Insular Southeast Asia and even in parts of Continental Southeast Asia, and to be found in Southern Thailand, in the provinces of Satun, Patani and Nakorn Sithammarat, and some islands in Southern Philippines. This time-span of traditional Malay literature covers a period from the earliest beginnings of oral works, through the inscriptions on stone and metal, and through further developments in oral storytelling, the advent of writing. In the decades of the 18th and 19th centuries a collision with western colonial powers and their cultures has resulted in a literature that reflected this traumatic confrontation and also, the so-called ‘modern’ elements. Along with this too we notice the rise of the new genres of the report, the travelogue, the autobiography and biography, which interestingly are prominent antecedents of modern literature.

Maqasid al-Shari’ah in Islamic Finance: Theory and Application

Over the period, maqāsid al-Sharī’ah has been promoted as the key reform for Islamic finance practices. This subject reflects the idea of achieving maṣlaḥah through the implementation of Sharīʿah rulings. As a result, maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah plays essential roles both in establishing regulations and in developing products in Islamic finance industry. Nevertheless, applying maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah sometimes becomes a matter of dispute in terms of its application. This includes to interpret Shari’ah rulings and to implement them in actual situations, in which some scholars claim that maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah is misused by certain groups to justify controversial practices. In this regard, this book attempts to clarify the concept of maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah and its application in Islamic finance. GENETIC RISK FACTOR IN RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS

Genetics plays a major role as an attribute factor in rheumatoid arthritis development. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is one of the most common autoimmune diseases affecting up to 2 percent of the world’s population. Loss of self-tolerance in the host immune system has led to this autoimmunity, multifactorial in origin, with a combination of environmental and genetic factors. Numerous susceptibility genes have been identified that predispose individuals to rheumatoid arthritis. The role of putative causal genes with genetic variations in rheumatoid arthritis differ in populations according to their genetic make-up. Interestingly, the genetic entities in rheumatoid arthritis are also involve in a shared molecular pathway in schizophrenia, either conferring as opposing or mutual effect to both complex diseases. The purpose of this book is to provide information on genetic attribute factors in rheumatoid arthritis pathophysiology.

AGENDA-SETTING PERSPECTIVES ON ISLAMOPHOBIA IN MALAYSIAN NEWSPAPERS

Irrational fear of and prejudice against Islam and its adherents, which is known as Islamophobia, occurs in several western countries. This issue has been debated since the aftermath of violent incidents such as the 9/11 attacks in 2001, the Afghanistan war in 2002, the Iraq war in 2003, the Danish cartoon row in 2005, the London bombings in 2005, the Paris attacks in 2015, and the New Zealand shootings in 2017. In reporting terrorism, the media tend to construct a negative image of Islam using biased language. This kind of portrayal is one of the significant sources of Islamophobia. Consequently, Islamophobia appears to be reproduced through non-western media. This issue has raised the question of whether newspapers in Muslim-majority nations assume the responsibility of disseminating objective, balanced and fair news about Islam. Hence, this book explores how Islamophobia is reproduced in selected Malaysian newspapers from agenda-setting perspectives.

The existence of trauma in literature has been extensively discussed in several literary and scholarly works across various literary genres. The authors of this book address the lack of sufficient scholarly analysis of trauma in poems particularly from a critical thinking perspective. This book scrutinizes the different ways by which traumatic occurrences are demonstrated, processed, revealed, and repressed through poems. At times, the elements of trauma cannot be directly observed from the mere reading of the poem. In this case, critical thinking plays a significant role in exploring the poet's expressions in relation to trauma. It is evident from the analysis in this book that critical thinking is helpful in exploring traumatic occurrences in poems. This book could be useful to researchers, lecturers, and students of colleges and universities.
