Le mystérieux tunnel de la rue Basel, par Pnina Ophir Cette fascinante histoire se déroule dans un vieux quartier typique du centre de Tel-Aviv. Il y avait depuis bien longtemps une station de pompiers, des ambulances de la croix rouge, ainsi qu’un marché coloré. Un jour, la nature de la rue changea complètement. Des bulldozers commencèrent à détruire les immeubles du quartier, pour les remplacer par deux tours modernes d’habitation et un jardin public. Des enfants de 6ème habitant le quartier découvrent alors, qu’un plus des excavations de la société de construction, d’autres excavations privées se préparent. Deux criminels décidèrent de profiter du bruit et du tumulte dans le quartier pour chercher le mystérieux trésor qui avait été enterré il y a bien longtemps sous la station de pompiers. La curiosité et le courage des enfants permirent finalement de prendre les criminels sur le fait, et d’éclaircir ainsi tout le mystère.

Elle a subvenu aux besoins de sa famille en travaillant comme professeur dans une école secondaire et, par la suite, en rédigeant des guides pédagogiques. L’auteur n’a soutenu sa thèse de doctorat qu’après l’âge de quarante ans, devenant alors professeur de littérature hébraïque à l’Université Ben-Gourion. Elle a écrit huit ouvrages d’érudition mais également quinze livres de poésie et ces derniers lui ont valu de nombreux prix prestigieux. Son recueil de nouvelles Le mur (intitulé à l'origine Musique) a remporté le prix ASI (Association des Ecrivains Israéliens).Le professeur Bar-Yosef a traduit des œuvres de poésie et des romans depuis l’anglais, le français et le russe.

Alain Robbe-Grillet wurde am 18. August 1922 in Brest geboren. Er hat Landwirtschaft studiert und später am Institut National des Statistiques gearbeitet. 1953 publizierte er seinen ersten Roman: Les Gommes. In der Editions de Minuit versammelten sich mit Alan Robbe-Grillet, Michel Butor, Nathalie Sarraute, Marguerite Duras und Claude Simon die Gründungsfiguren des Nouveau Roman. »Der Nouveau Roman war von Anfang an sehr bekannt, aber genauso verkannt« hat Robbe-Grillet imner wieder gesagt. »Robbe-Grillet will die Objektivität in der Literatur einführen, schrieben die Kritiker. Ich protestierte schon damals dagegen - aber niemand nahm es zur Kenntnis.« 2001, kurz vor seinem 80. Geburtstag, überraschte Robbe-Grillet Leser und Kritik mit seinem Roman La Reprise (Die Wiederholung, 2002), der als »Gründungstext des 21. Jahrhunderts«, als »einer der modernsten Texte der letzten Jahre« gefeiert wurde. Am 18. Feburar 2008 ist Alain Robbe-Grillet 85jährig in Caen gestorben.
