»Erzählen heißt Leben gewinnen«, steht, leise und eher versteckt, in einer Geschichte von Jörg Steiner. Und indem dieser »große Menschenkenner« (Hajo Steinert) erzählt, indem er Figuren erfindet und Orte dazu, einem Dialog nachlauscht, den er eben gehört zu haben scheint, Gerüche und Geräusche evoziert, werden wir Leser zu Zeugen: Eine Welt entsteht, ein kleiner Kosmos, der riesengroß zu werden vermag und sich alsbald unserer Phantasie bemächtigt.
