International Committee for Conflict Mangagement (ICCM) - Arno Editions
ICCM is a charitable organization created in Brussels in 1994 by a group of human rights experts, university professors, civil society actors and representatives of women's and youth organizations concerned with sharing the experience acquired through their research, teaching, projects and humanitarian interventions in countries affected by conflicts in several regions of the world.The purpose of the organization is to promote the protection and promotion of human rights, peaceful resolution, prevention and transformation of conflicts.Thus, through training, research, publication and book distribution, ICCM, through its publishing house (Arno) contributes to the peaceful resolution, management and prevention of armed conflicts to mitigate their consequences on the civilian population.

April 1991 fand unter dem Titel »Das Ende der großen Entwürfe und das Blühen systematischer Praxis« in Heidelberg ein interdisziplinärer Kongreß statt, der international bekannten Theoretikern der Kybernetik, Systemtheorie, Systemtherapie und anderer Bereiche Gelegenheit bot, angesichts des Zusammenbruchs vieler großer Entwürfe und einer nie dagewesenen Vielfalt konkurrierender Paradigmen ihre Konzepte und ihre Praxis zu diskutieren. Der vorliegende Band vereinigt die wichtigsten theoretischen Beiträge dieses Kongresses. Der gleichzeitig erscheinende Band Systemische Praxis, herausgegeben von Jochen Schweitzer, Arnold Retzer und Hans Rudi Fischer (stw 1033), dokumentiert die wichtigsten Beiträge aus dem Bereich systemischer Praxis.

Wahrlich keine einfache Aufgabe für die Tochter einer armen Bauernfamilie im England der 50er Jahre. 30 Jahre dauerte es, bis Mary sein darf, der sie ist. Martin. Es gibt nur wenige, die sie begleiten, der Großvater, ihre geliebte Lehrerin. Die Reise verändert Mary, aber auch ihre Familie und die Beziehungen untereinander von Grund auf. This book traces the career of Roy Ward Baker, one of the great survivors of the British film and television industry. He directed the landmark British film Morning Departure (1949), worked at Twentieth Century Fox in Hollywood in the early 1950s where he directed Marilyn Monroe's 'breakthrough' film (Don't Bother to Knock), and followed this with a succession of fine films for Rank, culminating in the best version of the Titanic disaster, A Night to Remember in 1958. Yet within three years he was unable to secure a job in the British film industry and he moved to television series such as The Avengers, The Saint and Minder. Later Baker re-emerged as a major director of science-fiction (Quatermass and the Pit) and horror films (Asylum). Geoff Mayer provides an industrial and aesthetic context in which to understand the interrelationship between a skilled classical director and the transformation of the British film industry in the 1950s. ;
