Lara Croft, die Heldin des Computerspiels »Tomb Raider«, ist in kurzer Zeit zu einem »Cultural icon« geworden. Sie ist Traum-Frau und weibliche Heldin, Pin-up-Girl und »Grrl« in einem. Damit bedient sie männliche ebenso wie weibliche Ermächtigungsphantasien. Doch statt die hierarchische Geschlechterordnung zu unterlaufen, befördert der Kult um Lara Croft einen Prozeß, der als »Medialisierung« der Körper beschrieben werden kann und der die dualistische Geschlechtermetaphysik auf einem höheren Level auferstehen läßt. Welche Bedeutungsverschiebung durchläuft der Begriff des Geschlechtlichen im Zuge seiner Virtualisierung? Die Autorin nähert sich dieser Frage entlang einer Analyse der Entstehungs- und der Wirkungsgeschichte des Phänomens Lara Croft.

Zukunft der Energie stellt die Vergangenheit und Gegenwart der Öl- und Gasindustrie in einen Kontext, um eine alternative Zukunft einzuführen. Diese Zukunft basiert auf drei Hauptpfeilern, die vom Autor als ENERGY GPS definiert wurden: Geopolitik = zugänglich, Preis = erschwinglich und Supply = verfügbar. Moty Kuperberg ist Absolvent der Abteilung für Geschichte des Nahen Ostens an der Universität von Haifa (1984) und hat einen Abschluss in Betriebswirtschaft und Schifffahrt von der City of London Polytechnic (1988). He finally gets a second chance when the boys of the village play their cheeky prank, and wakes up! In order to break the curse, he must do good deeds and atone for his crime. With the help of his new friends, the children of the village, Kahlbutz becomes a real knight, learns the meaning of true friendship, is released from the curse and finally gets to crumble into dust. Packed with excitement and humour, this novel expresses the ideas that it is good to help others, that you should not judge by appearances, and that everyone deserves a second chance. It teaches about knightly virtues and ancient language, and updates a true story. Two worlds collide, yet certain issues seem to be timeless. When it comes to questions of right and wrong, cooperation and respect, the children and the ancient knight put their hearts into finding universal solutions to these age-old problems.
