View Rights PortalReady for telepharmacy? Digitalisation is not only increasingly influencing our private lives, it is also playing an ever greater role in the healthcare sector. For example, digitalisation in the form of telepharmacy can significantly improve comprehensive patient care. This book shows how telepharmacy makes it possible to tap into new target groups and thus strengthen brick-and-mortar pharmacies. In addition, it suggests a wide range of possible ways of implementation, from individual patient consultations to telepharmaceutical lectures. In addition to the opportunities offered by telepharmacy, the authors also discuss • how telepharmaceutical services can be integrated into existing workflows, • how telepharmacy can enable employees to work from home, and • which technical and legal aspects need to be considered, especially regarding data protection. Telepharmacy can be used to expand the pharmacy‘s digital offering. Practical examples and checklists make it easier to get started.

Marine environments have long been places of exploration, subsistence, transport and trade, but it is only recently that marine tourism has extended beyond coastal resorts and beaches. Demand for marine wildlife experiences has grown considerably in recent decades but a corresponding increase in the conservation of these environments as well as adequate legislative and management responses aimed at sustainability has not yet followed. This book demonstrates that through scientific approaches to understanding and managing tourist interactions with marine wildlife, sustainable marine tourism can be achieved. Drawing from disciplines such as marine and conservation biology and behavioural ecology, the effects of human disturbance on marine wildlife as well as management approaches to moderate these impacts are explored. Social science perspectives are also used to understand consumer demand and the ethical and legislative problems that this demand creates. This comprehensive volume provides valuable insights for both researchers and practitioners in marine conservation and tourism.
Plants produce secondary metabolites with herbicidal, insecticidal, fungicidal and antioxidant activities. This book provides an up-to-date treatment of antioxidant and biocidal compounds mainly from Latin American plants. New antimicrobials, insecticidals, and antioxidants are covered in three sections: a general overview and perspectives on antioxidant, medicinal and biocidal plant compounds; details of plant antioxidants isolated from a wide range of species; insecticidal, antimicrobial and other biocidal activities based on peptides, phytoecdysteroids, alkaloids, polyphenols, terpenoids and other allelochemicals.
