Do Whatever You Want to Do!
How a Flatworm Demonstrates the Way to Satisfaction and Freedom
by M. Storch
Many people don't know what they want. In this book, a little worm shows the reader how to live life the best way possible. It shows, how often decisions or even entire lifestyles are determined by what is “intimated” by parents, friends, the media, or even the latest fad. Ultimately, the worm shows the reader, that it is only possible to be happy and free, if one knows what one wants and actually actively pursue this. Target Group: For people who want to improve their lives, psychologists, and therapists.

Screening the Paris suburbs
From the silent era to the 1990s
by Philippe Met, Annie Fourcaut, Roland-François Lack, Jean-Louis Pautrot, Keith Reader, Margaret Flinn, Eric Bullot, Tristan Jean, Malcolm Turvey, Elisabeth Cardonne-Arlyck, Térésa Faucon, Philippe Met, Camille Canteux, Derek Schilling, Guillaume Soulez, David Vasse, Derek Schilling
Decades before the emergence of a French self-styled 'hood' film around 1995, French filmmakers looked beyond the gates of the capital for inspiration and content. In the Paris suburbs they found an inexhaustible reservoir of forms, landscapes and social types in which to anchor their fictions, from bourgeois villas and bucolic riverside cafés to post-war housing estates and postmodern new towns. For the first time in English, contributors to this volume address key aspects of this long film history, marked by such towering figures as Jean Renoir, Jacques Tati and Jean-Luc Godard. Idyllic or menacing, expansive or claustrophobic, the suburb served divergent aesthetic and ideological programmes across the better part of a century. Themes central to French cultural modernity - class conflict, leisure, boredom and anti-authoritarianism - cut across the fifteen chapters.

Missing Bugs and Grass
An Invitation Letter from Nature
by Xue Tao
An Invitation Letter from Nature series is Xue Tao's first set of nature-themed picture books. Since childhood, Xue Tao has enjoyed getting along with the plants and animals in nature and felt the rise and fall of all beings with a sensitive heart. This set of picture books for nature and ecology education just pays tribute to nature, as well as to a vibrant childhood. An Invitation Letter from Nature series focuses on the theme of nature in the form of transitions through the four seasons. It currently has five books: Epic of Mountain Forests, Day and Night of the Little Wooden House, One Year of Me and Tree, Missing Bugs and Grass, Birds and Little Beasts as Companions. Each book has its own theme, just like five different landscape paintings, presenting different life experiences. Missing Bugs and Grass depicts the changes of bugs and grass in four seasons, which is in fact a metaphor for the journey of human life.
