Over several years of expeditions, the Ukraїner team took thousands of photos of Ukraine from a drone. Many different screens have already seen our footage: from Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) to city buses in Warsaw. With the help of these images, we aim to share the beauty of Ukraine with the world. This photo book shows Ukraine from a bird's eye view. Fields, forests, coasts, snow-capped mountains, patterns of city streets – all these shots show amazing diversity and cause aesthetic awe. Despite the fact that enemy shells are still flying in the Ukrainian sky, we are already trying to make the whole world fall in love with it. The book is published only in English and is called “Ukraine from above”.

Book 3. 30 Years of Independence: Challenges, Trials, Answers The third book is dedicated to the period of Ukrainian Independence and summarizes the thirty years of Ukrainian post-totalitarian transit. Contradictions of internal development, geopolitical challenges, three modern Ukrainian revolutions, and the Russian-Ukrainian war are the focus of understanding the path of Ukraine and Ukrainians in the global world.

Phoma is a genus of fungi within the Coelomycetes. These fungi are commonly and frequently recovered in culture from all ecological situations, but are very difficult to identify. There has been a great need for a practical manual to aid such identification, and this book will fill that gap. It provides line drawings and keys for the identification of common pathogenic and saprotrophic species of Phoma in vitro, with references to additional diagnostic literature, representative cultures and documentation of the numerous synonyms formerly used in the mycological and phytopathological literature.

Lew Tolstoj wurde am 9. September 1828 in Jasnaja Poljana bei Tula geboren und starb am 20. November 1910 in Astapowo, heute zur Oblast Lipezk an einer Lungenentzündung. Tolstoj entstammte einem russischen Adelsgeschlecht. Als er mit neun Jahren Vollwaise wurde, übernahm die Schwester seines Vaters die Vormundschaft. An der Universität Kasan begann er 1844 das Studium orientalischer Sprachen. Nach einem Wechsel zur juristischen Fakultät brach er das Studium 1847 ab, um zu versuchen, die Lage der 350 geerbten Leibeigenen im Stammgut der Familie in Jasnaja Poljana mit Landreformen zu verbessern. Er erlebte von 1851 an in der zaristischen Armee die Kämpfe im Kaukasus und nach Ausbruch des Krimkriegs 1854 den Stellungskrieg in der belagerten Festung Sewastopol. Die Berichte aus diesem Krieg (1855: Sewastopoler Erzählungen) machten ihn als Schriftsteller früh bekannt. Er bereiste aus pädagogischem Interesse 1857 und 1860/61 westeuropäische Länder und traf dort auf Künstler und Pädagogen. Nach der Rückkehr verstärkte er die reformpädagogischen Bestrebungen und richtete Dorfschulen nach dem Vorbild Rousseaus ein. Seit 1855 lebte er abwechselnd auf dem Gut Jasnaja Poljana, in Moskau, und in Sankt Petersburg. Im Jahre 1862 heiratete er die 18-jährige deutschstämmige Sofja Andrejewna Behrs, mit der er insgesamt 13 Kinder hatte. In den folgenden Jahren seiner Ehe schrieb er die monumentalen Romane Krieg und Frieden sowie Anna Karenina, die Tolstojs literarischen Weltruhm begründeten. What does it mean to be called an industrial designer? This book traces the remarkable rise of this professional identity in historical perspective from a position of anonymity in the early twentieth century, to mid-century professionalisation, to decline and disintegration by 1980. Drawing on new, extensive, original archival research, it uncovers the history of a profession in a state of re-invention, 1930-1980 in Britain and the United States. The book tests assumptions about the relationship between the professions in the two countries, bringing them into comparative historical perspective for the first time. The gendered dynamics of professionalisation and their interaction with the representation of the heroic male designer are interrogated and critically examined. Building on new gender perspectives to the history of the industrial design profession, the book calls for a re-examination of the limits and boundaries of what constitutes professional identity and work.
