Um die Funktionalität weiter zu verbessern, nimmt die Instrumentierung zu und damit die Komplexität im Maschinen- und Anlagenbau, der Gebäudeautomatisierung sowie im Energiemanagement. Die Automatisierungssoftware muss fl exibel und ohne großen Aufwand anpassbar sein, um diesen Anforderungen an Flexibilität, Zuverlässigkeit Adaptivität und Adaptierbarkeit zu genügen. Agenten sind ein Schlüsselparadigma um diese Herausforderungen zu lösen.
