Learn to play the harp from the solo harpists of the Vienna Symphonic Orchestra: Volker Kempf’s Viennese Harp School offers a method for beginners that is applicable to all kinds of harps (both pedal and lever harps) in combination with music adapted from both Viennese folk songs and classical works. This repertoire, both traditional and contemporary, which relies on composers like Mozart, Schubert, and Beethoven as well as Viennese songs, will attract young harp players to this kind of music and give new accents to the lessons. The repertoire has been enlarged with works written specifically for this school by the contemporary composers Kurt Schwertsik, HK Gruber, and Rainer Bischof.
