Polly Devlin explores the hidden gardens of New York, the intriguing secret places known – until now – only to the few. Here are large gardens and tiny gardens, gardens high in the sky and gardens in basements, artists’ gardens, collectors' gardens, passionate plantsmen's gardens and the gardens of fashionistas. The gardens revealed here will inspire anyone with an interest in gardens – or in secrets.
