Greek Women
by Sergio Olguín
Description
Nine stories in which women gravitate toward the center of attention. Women who perturb as the object of desire, boredom and admiration, that do not go unnoticed by the male gaze.
Sergio Olguín projects multiple scenarios: a moody photographer at the whims of his models spends a tortuous weekend with them in the countryside. A teenager settles into his girlfriend’s house (whose parents just died) and little by little takes possession of the apartment. A great designer boasts about creating invincible women, by manipulation and submission.
Greek Women alters perceptions and upsets with its simplicity and intensity, while at the same time showing how, behind conventions, the most unjust and cruel social arrangements can occur.
