ALIADOS
by Rubén Herrero de Castro
Description
ALLIES. TRANSATLANTIC RELATIONS: SECURITY AND IMAGES IN THE 21ST CENTURY
The 21st century has brought with it challenges aplenty, not to mention threats. Long-standing allies have no choice but to renew their historic ties if they wish to operate in today’s international community with any degree of certainty. From a political and psychological standpoint, this book analyses the complex relationship between Europe and the US as this century gets underway. “Now the trumpet summons us again—not as a call to bear arms, though arms we need; not as a call to battle, though embattled we are—but a call to bear the burden of a long twilight struggle.” (John F. Kennedy, 1961).
