The editing team of《1937, Nanjing Memory》persistently insets the picture elements into this reportage book. The book uses words and a bit of pictures from the Nanjing massacre period to show the cruelty and misery of the war to the little readers. The book naturally presents the normal life of citizens living in Nanjing in 1937 by using the vivid and lovely sketching picture as the decoration pictures of the layout.
Xu Zhigeng, born in Shaoxing, Zhejing province in 1946, joined the army in 1964, and then graduated from the Chinese major of Najing University. He successively works in the army in Zhoushan, Beiing, Fujian, Shaoxing, Nanjing, and he worked as news secretary, reporter of army newspaper, editor and professional writer. He has won many awards, some of which are “The Art Award of Chinese PLA”, “National Excellent Reportage Award”, “National Literature Golden Key Prize”, “Zhuang Zhongwen Literature Award”. He also enjoys a special allowance from the State Council.
He is a member of Chinese Writer's Association, secretary of Chinese Reportage Association, secretary of Jiangsu Writer's Association and he also worked as vice director of the art studio in Nanjing Military Region.
