You've written a book... What happens next?
There's so much more to publishing than printing a book and putting it into shops.
Say a publisher likes your manuscript submission. They will make you an offer to buy the rights to publish your book. You retain the copyright but you grant them exclusive permission to market and sell your book.
The publisher may buy all rights to your book, which means they can sell rights to publish the book worldwide in different countries, languages and formats, or they may just buy some of them. Click here to see the kinds of rights that can be sold.
Traditionally you'd need an agent to manage the process of selling all the different rights available in your work but IPR License helps you to manage that process yourself.

By joining IPR License you are giving yourself that extra chance to find a publisher - whether locally or internationally - and to fully exploit the potential of your creative work.

All new members should request this service by emailing info@iprlicense.com when you have completed your profile and finished uploading your work.
We will assess your IPR License profile (including author details, book records, summary information and sample preview) and let you know if we think anything is missing or if you could edit the information you provide in any way.
We’ll also offer a brief report based on the summary and preview of your work detailing any ways you could improve this for submission and to attract the attention of publishing professionals.
Agent Recommendation Service
IPR License is working in partnership with a number of UK Literary agents. Our in-house readers read your work when it’s uploaded and, if they feel it has commercial potential, they will contact you to help shape your work for agent recommendation.
There is no additional fee for this but it will only be offered to those members selected by our readers. Find out more by clicking here.
Pricing
Initial membership £99 (+VAT)
Includes upload/registration of up to five full-length manuscripts (novel, non-fiction or finished collection of poetry/stories).
£25 per additional manuscript you wish to upload
£10 per upload of supporting materials or updated work
If you're a poet who would like to make individual, uncollected poems available please contact us for more information.
Annual renewal
Full site membership: £60 plus £5 for each additional manuscript (beyond the initial five)
Copyright registration only: £10 per manuscript
