Politiker werden als »Vaterlandsverräter« verunglimpft, Muslime unter Generalverdacht gestellt, im Internet werden die krudesten Verschwörungstheorien propagiert. In diesem Band untersuchen international renommierte Forscher und Intellektuelle die Ursachen dieser »Großen Regression«, verorten sie in einem historischen Kontext, erörtern Szenarien für die nächsten Jahre und diskutieren Strategien, mit denen wir diesen Entwicklungen entgegentreten können.
