Mr. Fessenden's short story The Meaning of Vengeance is an interesting look back into ancient Iceland. It was fascinating to read about the culture of the past and how it influenced the people living in that time. The idea of a blood feud between families isn't new, but the extreme behavior and actions between the families was barbaric. It was interesting to read how Ari and Geirr overcame their societies' negative reaction toward gay relationships to explore their feelings towards each other. It was inspiring how Ari was able to look beyond his family's hatred to see the futility of the feud even when others didn't. Read the full review at fallenangelreviews.com -
