Le Grand Galop
She is in her mid-twenties with the remnants of unfulfilled dreams scattered at her feet: a grand house with spruce trees and swings, a challenging career, a daughter named Anne and a love that will last forever. What is one to do but store them in a drawer smelling sweetly of lavender? For someone like her who, since childhood, has been guided by her imagination, it's hard to rein in and put an end to the delusions that have galvanized and exhausted her. Who wants to live without dreams and turmoil anyway? Smooth-flowing lives are like lakes; no one remembers them.
